My chocolate arrived with white spots - is it spoiled?

Rest easy, it's not! White spots in chocolate happen because of temperature changes, but it is still safe to eat. I'm working on a blog that explains why this happen. I will link it here ASAP.

Why the price tag?

Because cacao is expensive and we don't use filler ingredients to lower the amount of cacao in our products. Plus, when you buy Mashpi Chocolate you're not just eating a chocolate bar - you're actively funding the restoration of the Andean Chocó forests.

What's the shelf life of your products?

For most of our products, it's 2 years from production.

What's your packaging made out of?

Our outer chocolate packages are made out of sugar cane bagasse, so they are recyclable and compostable. The inner liner of the chocolate bars is recyclable plastic. Our other products tend to vary, but we always do our best to find recyclable and/or compostable packaging.
